Of Coaches who think Good-ly opps (God-ly)

Aaj mujhe WhatsApp University se ek divine proclamation mila, where wisdom (and nonsense) flow in equal measure.

Lagta hai Bhagwan ne human accountability ke liye ek strict, no-nonsense approach apna liya hai, issuing what can only be described as a celestial ultimatum.

OK, I got it wrong! Yeh message actually ek recreational coach ka tha jo apne trainee athletes ko bheja gaya tha.

It appears that a coach has taken a strict, no-nonsense approach to athlete accountability, issuing what can only be described as an ultimatum.

Note: Just as I do not know God, I do not know who is this coach or why they have written what they have written. Or, maybe this message is someone’s figment of imagination. 🤷‍♂️

Yeh raha woh dhamakedaar message:

“A good trainee knows the consequences of their actions, and a bad one stops caring about them. There will be a new Liability sheet sent next week, which for some rotten apples will be expected to be sent to your family or loved ones. If you don’t wish to sign it, or give electronic clearance here, I will assume our coaching journey ends.

I will not be the captain of your disastrous ego trip that is detrimental to your health, you can sink your Titanic with someone else.”

My 2 Cents…

Frustrated Coach Syndrome!

Yeh message kaafi harsh aur ek tarah se dhamki bhara lagta hai, which might not be the most effective way to communicate with athletes. Accountability and discipline zaroori hain, lekin yeh approach thodi overboard lagti hai.

Jo cheezein standout karti hain:

🔥 Negative Framing – Calling some athletes “rotten apples” aur unki family ko involve karna is more confrontational than constructive.

🚫 Lack of Encouragement – Instead of motivating athletes to improve, yeh message imply karta hai ki kuch log failures ya liabilities hain.

⚠️ Ultimatum-Based Coaching – “Sign karo ya nikal jao” approach might push away athletes jo actually guidance dhund rahe hain instead of threats.

😤 Ego & Titanic Metaphor – This makes it feel personal, jaise coach gussa ya frustrated ho rather than offering professional guidance.

Ek thoda zyada mature aur humane version ho sakta hai:

“Your actions in training have consequences, and my role as a coach is to ensure your health and progress. Next week, I’ll be sharing a Liability sheet to reinforce responsibility in our journey together. If you’re not comfortable with it, let’s discuss whether continuing coaching makes sense. I want to work with those committed to their well-being and progress.”

Simple, professional aur thoda zyaada positive!

Aap log kya sochte ho? Comments mein batao!

Jab pehli baar yeh message padha, toh laga ki Bhagwan ka gyaan aaya hai!

Thinking about it, if God was ever frustrated with humans, maybe we would all receive a WhatsApp message like this:

“A good human knows the consequences of their actions, and a bad one stops caring about them. There will be a new Book of Judgment issued next week, and for some rotten souls, it will be forwarded to your family and loved ones for eternal reference. If you do not wish to sign it, or give divine clearance here, I will assume our covenant ends.

I will not be the captain of your disastrous ego trip that leads straight to damnation. You can sink your Titanic with someone else—perhaps a lesser deity, but certainly not Me.”

Ekdum divine dhamki! 🤣🤣
